Betting Tips for the Smart Punter

Sprinters return to the flat

After the last few manic stages of the tour it’s back to the relative calmness of the flat stage where the sprinters should fight out the finish. Tomorrow is a huge day in the mountains so most of the GC boys will see this as a rest day, but as we’ve seen so far this tour, you can’t take anything for granted. Yesterday we made a small profit on Domoulin winning the TT so today it’s time for another winner.

A headwind should prevent a breakaway today and all eyes will be on the likes of Kittel, Griepel and Mark Cavendish. The Manxman has lost his main lead out man Mark Renshaw to illness but Boasson Hagan is a capable replacement and Cav still looks to have the better finish than his two rivals.

A couple of other bigger priced outsiders who have chances of causing a surprise are Frenchmen who could give the country something to cheer for. Bryan Coquard looked like he could score a victory last week and this is one of his last chances today. And Christophe Laporte is also riding well and a few top ten finishes show he has the talent to mix it with the big boys.
