Le Prezien (2.25 Sandown) @ 3/1 Win (NAP)

Paul Nicholls’ 6 year old is on a run of 2 straight wins at Exeter and Cheltenham and looks perfectly suited for another step up in trip to 2m 4f. He also finished ahead of Top Notch back in October and I fancy him to pip his stablemate Clan Des Obeaux this afternoon.

Landmarque (12.55 Musselburgh) @ 7/2 Win (Next Best)

Landmarque could only finish 4th here 2 weeks ago over course and distance when favourite after a bad mistake at the third last fence ended his chances. James Ewart is applying blinkers on him for the first time on Saturday and this could sharpen him up to nab the victory.

Carlton Ryan (3.45 Musselburgh) @ 11/1 E/W (In With A Chance)

Wonderful Charm will rightly be installed as heavy favourite here, but he is such a short price that there is big each way value to be found elsewhere. Carlton Ryan won both of his Hunters Chases last year showing resilience when put under pressure. Backing him each way means a payout of over 2/1 for a top 3 finish and that’s well worth a punt.
