We started off the season well with our pre-season tip of Nico Rosberg for the Drivers Championship winning in Melbourne. He went top of the table in Australia and we got the value nice and early. Now on to Bahrain where we’re confident we can pin point a couple more winners. We left the first race of the season alone in betting terms, but now there is some stand out value.
It’s impossible to look past Hamilton & Rosberg for the win this weekend but there are plenty of other markets that are worth taking a look at. Podiums are also quite tight as apart from the Mercedes it seems that Ferrari are vying for 3rd place. With Vettel taking up the bulk of the market for that bronze medal I’m looking at some big odds for a shock podium place. Sergio Perez has started the season on a high and he has already got the better of his talented team mate Hulkenberg. He also has a good record here with a top 3 in his pocket and could be the suprise package over the 3 days.
Two weeks ago Felipe Massa started the season in top form and finished ahead of the supposedly better driver, Bottas. Massa is often overlooked as an elder statesman, but he still has plenty of passion and fight, and this track suits him perfectly. He’s shown this in the past with two wins when at Ferrari and can use his vast experience to find his way comfortably in to the Top 6. Williams have good reliability so far and as long as the car stays true then the Brazilian is a great bet at Bahrain.
