Betting Tips for the Smart Punter

Copa America 2015

Peru v Venezuela (Thursday night 12.30am)

Venezuela are sitting pretty on top of Group C after an impressive win against Colombia on Sunday night. The coach Sanvicente got his defensive tactics spot on that night and with talented forwards like Rondon of Zenit at his disposal they are a dangerous outfit.

Peru were a little unlucky in losing to Brazil in their opener, but there were signs of defensive frailties that the Venezuelans can capitalise on.

Venezuela came out on top when these 2 sides played a friendly in April and we’re backing them to do the same tonight.

VENEZUELA To Win 15/8 with BetWay

OUTRIGHT TIPS (advised 10th June)

It’s a very competitive betting heat and the top two in the market are obviously Brazil and Argentina. When they are firing they are easily the best in the world, but they will be carrying players who are in need of a rest after a long season and the timing straight after the CL final will be vital. For this reason we’re going for Columbia, who have some great talent in the likes of James Rodriguez, Falcao, Carlos Bacca & Chelsea’s Juan Cuadrado. All top class players and the team are carrying some good form into the tournament. At 13/2 for 2 places with Bet365, it looks the value bet.

TOURNAMENT SCORER TIPS (advised 10th June)

We have a couple of cracking team scorer bets that will run throughout the tournament. First up is Argentina and the amazing Messi, who is quite rightly favourite to top score for his team. He may well come in to the Copa America slightly jaded after a very long season and for that reason we’re going to side with Angel Di Maria, who comes in fresh and is a completely difeerent player on national duty. He will be given more of an attacking licence and at 16/1 he’s massive value.

Next up is another plying his trade in England, the free scoring Alexis Sanchez. He should carry his Premier League form in to this tournament and in our eyes is too big a price at 5/4 to be Chilean top scorer, so get on! And finally we have another big priced pick who can muscle out Neymar and claim the scorer bragging rights for Brazil. Philippe Coutinho has been playing more of a forward role in recents weeks and he has often scored crucial goals for Liverpool. He should be the man to take the long range shots and also make the supporting runs for Neymar. A great looking price at 12/1 for top Brazilian scorer.
