Betting Tips for the Smart Punter

Exciting times for British Boxing and punters alike!

Nothing quite gets the blood pumping like watching a superfight from Las Vegas in the wee hours of the morning. Floyd Mayweather’s win over Manny Pacquiao may not have been the classic that people were hoping for, but there is plenty to be excited about in the Boxing world at the moment.

British Boxing is in fantastic shape with multiple World Champions across different weights. The classiest of these include Belfast’s brilliant Super-Bantamweight king Carl Frampton, IBF Super-Middlewight Olympic gold medalist James DeGale and the ‘Welsh Mayweather’ Lee Selby currently dazzling the Featherweight division.

Added to that is the always entertaining and brave as a lion Amir Khan and slick Sheffield Welterweight fighter Kell Brook meaning that there is much to celebrate for patriotic fight fans in the UK.

But special mention has to go to the heavyweight division. After years of the sterile dominance of the Klitschko brothers we now have a division full of promise and excitement. Tyson Fury has many detractors, but no one can deny his outstanding performance and deserved win over Wladimir in Dusseldorf. The rematch will take place in Manchester in July and it will be one hell of an evening with the bookies unable to separate them in the betting.

And then there is David Haye back in the fold. Flashy and not to everyone’s taste, the Hayemaker is an outstanding talent and packs so much power in his right hand that everyone should be glad that he is back and making waves in the fight game.

But the real star of British boxing is of course Anthony Joshua. His ruthless demolition of Charles Martin for the unheralded IBF belt proved what we already knew… that Joshua is the real deal and headed for the top.

We hope that Fury beats Wladimir in the rematch, that Haye continues to blast through all put in front of him and we can finally see some British superfights between the 3 over the next few years!

Of course what makes Boxing even more exciting is having a bet on it! The bookies have an amazing array of markets for the biggest fights and if you do your research then you can get some amazing value.

Our Boxing tipster watches all the fights, keeps tabs on their fitness and weight and even has a dossier on the judges on the night! All of this information gives him the chance to get that all important edge over the bookies. If he fancies one fighter to dominate the bout, but knows he’s fighting in the other guy’s backyard with a ‘home bias’ judge on the panel then he’ll be tipping up a split decision win for his favoured pick!
