Big handicap debut for Olympic Runner

Some good racing on the cards today and the NAP Olympic Runner is expected to run a big race in his handicap debut. We’re still in profit for the month after a couple of dry days on the horses, so let’s kick on and get June stats back to double figures.

Olympic Runner (2.50 Yarmouth) @ 11/4 (NAP)

Making her debut in a handicap after an impressive juvenile career last season that was rounded off with a nice win at Lingfield. Willie Haggas has found a perfect race for his three year old and there’s plenty of potential to come, so a big run is expected to kick off his handicap exploits.

Hab Reeh (6.15 Hamilton) @ 9/2 (Next Best)

A winner of this race twice, Ruth Carr’s charge missed last seasons renewal but won the two before that, and this year it’s a modest looking race. A couple more positives are the booking of Serena Botherton who has on board him before, and last time out a win that broke a 19 run barren spell, so confidence will be high for a repeat performance.

Tinsell (2.30 Beverley) @ 16/1 E/W (In With A Chance)

A great draw and drop in class gives Tinsell a shout in a very open handicap over the minimum distance. He needs to rekindle old form but this race is certainly within his powers to take hold of and grab victory. He tends to run better races around Beverley and has won here before in identical conditions and at a big price he’s well worth a bet today.
